UNDERCOVER KARAOKE with JEWEL
I’ve had this idea for a while and I’m so glad I got to try it out with Jewel!
Basically, we got her to completely disguise herself (with the help of an amazing makeup team) as a Midwestern business woman in town for a frozen foods convention, and then sent her into a karaoke dive bar in Santa Monica to see if she could fool people.
About an hour or so into the night, she reluctantly took the stage (as her mild mannered alter-ego, Karen) and sang a couple of her own Jewel songs. Honestly, most people were really fooled and simply thought they were hearing the best karaoke singer in their lives! It’s amazing what a fake nose and glasses will do!
This might be the most fun I’ve ever had making a Funny or Die video!
